I’m a UK based freelancer working in film and television. I specialise in Steadicam and camera operating, but I also love shooting and lighting projects as a DoP. A lot of my work is in narrative fiction, a genre that I feel very motivated about, and I have been lucky to work with some incredibly talented cast and crew over the past few years. I also relish the challenges of documentary work and have filmed in some stunning locations, with recent projects taking me to Haiti, Jamaica, China, Oman, Bulgaria, Canada & Japan. I have a lot of experience in short form work such as commercials and music videos. Since 2010 I have been directing the multicam shoots at the Eden Sessions, including the BBC Music series ‘Live at Eden’, working with some of the biggest names in music from around the world.
I graduated from university in 1999 with a diploma in photography, and worked as a professional photographer for several years. I completed my advanced Steadicam training with MK-V in 2006. I am familiar with most shooting formats, including 16mm, 35mm, HD and UHD. I am a RED camera owner but also have lots of experience working with Arri cameras, including Alexa, Alexa mini and Amira.
